Anneke Huting- de Jager

 

Born in The Netherlands (1961), I lived in Wisconsin (USA) for most of my teen years.

At the Teachers College and afterwards working as a secretary in Utrecht (Netherlands), I was always making illustrative cartoons on the side.

My interest shifted to painting after I married and had two kids (1993 and 1996). 

In 2002 I started taking painting courses, first in Utrecht (UCK) and later in Amsterdam (Wackers Academy).

From the start, portraits had my interest.

I now have my own studio where I do autonomous work within a theme, as well as paintings by commission.
